Project Overview
The focus of this project is Recycling & Waste Prevention (Zero Waste). The San Francisco Environment Department (SFE) has low community engagement in resident initiatives that advance climate protection and enhance the quality of life for all San Franciscans. Creating a better digital product can help increase engagement in these initiatives.
Problem Statement
A significant portion of San Francisco’s population remains unaware of recycling laws and guidelines, as only 10,000 of the 800,000 residents are educated annually by the SFE about these practices, hindering efforts to reduce waste and combat climate change.
